A administração de hemocomponentes permite a realização de procedimentos invasivos com segurança. Nos últimos 20 anos foram realizados vários estudos clínicos que acarretaram mudanças consideráveis nas indicações da transfusão dos hemocomponentes que têm sido cada vez mais restritas. Em 2025 foram publicados guidelines por grandes sociedades médicas que ratificam estas indicações.
Revisamos as diretrizes atuais e compilamos na tabela 01 as principais indicações de transfusão de plaquetas profiláticas em pacientes que serão submetidos a procedimentos invasivos com o objetivo de fornecer recomendações práticas e baseadas nas melhores evidências científicas disponíveis a fim de facilitar e otimizar o cuidado médico destes pacientes.
